Ever wondered what the top 1% of women are doing differently? What habits do they have? How do they spend their mornings? What do they read, how do they manage their money, and how do they seem to build lives that look so beautiful and intentional?
There are some women you look at who make you curious about these things.
She takes care of herself, speaks gracefully, manages her money wisely, works towards her goals, and somehow makes her everyday life look beautiful, too.
I think we all have that version of ourselves we secretly dream of becoming.
Well, I want to say, you already have that woman within you.
You are already that top 1% woman.
You just need to make that woman come out and make her shine.
And it starts with the little things you do every day.
And while there’s no official definition of a “top 1% woman,” I like to think of her as someone who is intentional about her life, committed to her growth, and comfortable being herself.
If you’re ready to become that version of yourself, here are 15 habits of top 1% women worth cultivating.

1. They Make Time for Themselves in the Morning
Table of Contents
I’ve always believed that the way we begin our mornings can influence how the rest of the day feels.
The top 1% of women wake up and don’t immediately reach for their phone.
What they do instead is what differentiates them from the other 99% who wake up and simply scroll their phone, wake up cranky, and are always in a rush to get things done before they hurry for work or other commitments.
The 99% never give time to themselves.
But the top 1% women?
- They spend some time journaling or writing down their thoughts in morning pages (Highly recommended)
- They read a few pages of a book. (Mornings are not for novels, but self-help, learning, and motivational books)
- They stretch, practise yoga, do Pilates, or go for a short walk.
- They open their to-do list and write down their three most important tasks for the day.
- Spend a few quiet minutes praying, meditating, or simply sitting with your thoughts.
- They prepare breakfast on time and eat without scrolling through social media.
Are there any habits you’re already doing in the morning from here?
If not, start now and see how it changes your days and uplifts your mood.

2. They Read Every Day
One habit I would encourage every woman to develop is reading.
Reading is how we become lifelong students of life.
I was not always a reader, but when I became a one, it changed my life.
My perspective grew, and I could actually feel myself growing as a person.
I started reading self-help books, books on Buddhism, autobiographies of great people, and kept novels for the evenings.
It soared my confidence and enthusiasm and changed my mindset about what is possible and not possible.
Later, when I had skipped the habit for quite some time, I realised that the same motivated and positive mindset I had earlier had been missing from my life, and I was wondering what happened to me.
It dawned on me that it was because I had stopped nurturing myself with good books and had stopped feeding my mind with good things.
I was consuming plenty of short-form content, watching reels, and spending time on YouTube, but I wasn’t engaging with ideas in the same way I did when I read books.
Then, once I determined to come back to reading again, I was again filled with enthusiasm and goodness.
I believe reading changes your life. And not just reading any books. Reading good, enriching books.
You don’t have to read complicated books or finish one every week. You can read slowly.
Give 20 minutes every morning to read and 30 minutes in the evening.
Find a book you are curious about.
Keep a book beside your bed, carry one in your bag, or spend twenty minutes reading before you go to sleep.
3. They Protect Their Time
They know that time is one of the most valuable things they have, and learning to use it intentionally can change their life.
If you want to become the top 1% women, ask yourself, “If someone watched you for a week, would they believe you were serious about your goals?”
If your goals and your daily actions are not matching, it needs attention.
Often we have very ambitious dreams, but we are poor in our actions and poor with our time.
It’s not enough to have big dreams.
Your dreams need you to put in the work.
It’s waiting for you to get serious.
And how do you get serious?
It all starts with how serious you are about your time.
Try setting boundaries around your time, limiting unnecessary scrolling and digital distractions, planning your week in advance, and learning to say no without feeling the need to explain yourself endlessly.
This is what top 1% women do.

4. They Take Care of Their Bodies
Remember here that the top 1% women are not looking at themselves as a self-improvement project.
They are simply doing good things for themselves because it makes them feel good.
Taking care of yourself shouldn’t feel like another item on an endless list of things you need to fix about yourself.
Don’t treat exercise, food, sleep, and skincare as ways to become more attractive or productive; instead, think of them as ways to romanticize your everyday life.
Move your body everyday in whatever form you enjoy.
I recently found out that I enjoy slow-paced workouts and not those workouts where I am rushing and panting without catching a breath.
Move with Nicole suits my style best, and I am so glad I found her channel, but some might find her too slow. It’s okay.
Find a form of movement you enjoy.
Eat meals that nourish you.
Get enough sleep. Listen when your body needs rest.
You don’t have to follow an elaborate wellness routine.
Taking care of yourself actually looks boring.
It looks like going for a morning walk, doing a 20-minute workout, preparing a nourishing meal at home, and going to bed by 10 pm instead of staying up late scrolling through your phone.
The goal is to build a healthier relationship with yourself.

5. They Know How to Manage Their Money
Financial independence is one of the most empowering things a woman can work towards.
The top 1% of women don’t care about showing off even if they have the money.
They care about building wealth quietly.
They’re here to live financially free so that they can retire early and have F-You Money.
The top 1% of women are building their F-You Money.
And what is F-You Money?
F-you money is enough savings or wealth that you can walk away from any job, relationship, or situation without worrying about how you’ll pay your bills. It’s the point where work becomes a choice rather than a financial requirement.
You don’t need to earn a huge salary to start becoming financially responsible. You simply need to develop a healthier relationship with money.
Start by tracking your monthly expenses.
Set aside some money for savings, work towards building an emergency fund, and learn the basics of investing.
Be mindful of impulse purchases, especially when you’re tempted to buy something because it’s trending or because someone else has it.
And don’t forget to invest in yourself, too.
Learning new skills, improving your knowledge, and finding ways to increase your earning potential can be just as important as saving.
8. They Build Confidence by Keeping Promises to Themselves
The top 1% women are confident women.
And how did they get their confidence?
It was not natural. It did not just come to them.
They had to work for it.
We often think confidence comes from looking a certain way, receiving compliments, achieving something impressive, or that confidence is built into some people.
But what about people who are trying to be more confident and starting from scratch?
Confidence building starts with learning to trust yourself.
We need to see ourselves as having one of the deepest relationships with our own selves, because we are.
Just as we start to trust others, the more they keep their words and promises, we too start trusting ourselves when we keep our words to ourselves and do what we said we’ll do.
And just as trust with another person erodes when they break their promises and don’t follow through, the same way we too end up cursing ourselves for not following through on our promises and actions.
But when you repeatedly make promises to yourself and follow through on them, you begin to believe that you can depend on yourself.
You don’t have to start with big commitments.
Decide to read for ten minutes and actually do it.
Set aside a little money each month. Finish a task you’ve been putting off.
Take yourself on a solo date even if it feels unfamiliar at first.
And when you make a mistake, don’t use it as a reason to give up on yourself.
9. They Choose Their Relationships With Care
They say that you are the average of the five people you are closest to.
And the top 1% of women are aware of that.
They surround themselves with people who are inspiring, who make them laugh, who hype them up, and who are always there for them.
They stay far away from relationships and people who drain their energy and who constantly make them question where they stand.
They have no time for situationships and draining relationships.
That’s why it’s worth paying attention to the relationships you nurture.
Make time for friends who are genuinely happy for you, people with whom you can have honest conversations, and relationships where care and effort go both ways.
Learn to communicate your needs instead of expecting others to guess what you’re feeling.
Set boundaries when necessary, and don’t be afraid to have difficult conversations.
At the same time, remember that healthy relationships aren’t always effortless.
Even good friendships and loving partnerships require patience, compromise, and understanding.
The goal isn’t to surround yourself with perfect people. It’s to build relationships where you can grow, feel respected, and be yourself.

10. They Develop Their Own Personal Style
The top 1% women are always put together.
If you want to become like her too, you don’t need a designer wardrobe or an elaborate beauty routine to look and feel put together.
Just putting in a little effort and thought can make a big difference.
- Clothes that fit well
- Hair that feels good
- Pretty nails
- A Fragrance you love
- A skincare routine you can actually maintain
Take some time to understand what you like and how you would like to dress.
Perhaps you love feminine dresses, delicate jewellery, and soft colours.
Maybe you prefer classic trousers, crisp shirts, and minimal accessories. Or perhaps your style changes depending on your mood.
Allow yourself to experiment until you discover what feels natural to you.
11. They Learn to Respond Instead of React
The top 1% women are not perfect humans, but they do strive to be and do better as a human when interacting with another human.
And one of the most fundamental things as a human is how we treat others and how we are emotionally.
How we are with our closest ones (especially our parents and our partner) is how we truly are at our core.
It’s easy to be good and kind to strangers and friends, but how we act with our truly close ones are what matters.
That’s why learning to be emotionally mature is so important.
But becoming emotionally mature doesn’t mean you never get upset, feel jealous, experience disappointment, or struggle with difficult emotions.
It means learning to understand those emotions without allowing every feeling to dictate your actions.
For example, when someone upsets you, we often react immediately but you don’t always have to do that.
You can take a moment to understand why you’re hurt, decide what you want to communicate, and approach the conversation when you’re ready.
You can practise this in everyday situations by:
- Pausing before sending an emotional message.
- Expressing your feelings without attacking someone else’s character.
- Accepting constructive criticism without immediately becoming defensive.
- Apologising when you’ve made a mistake.
- Allowing yourself to feel disappointed without assuming everything is going wrong.
Emotional maturity takes practice, and nobody handles every situation perfectly.
What matters is being willing to learn from your experiences and treating both yourself and other people with consideration.
12. They Are Building a Life They Actually Enjoy
Finally, I think one of the most beautiful habits you can develop is learning to enjoy your life while you’re still working towards your goals.
It’s so easy to believe that happiness is waiting somewhere in the future.
That you’ll be happy when you get the promotion, earn more money, reach a particular milestone, move into a beautiful home, or finally have everything figured out.
But life is still happening in the meantime.
So build a life you enjoy in the present moment too, but just for the future.
Make your home a little more pleasant.
Buy yourself fresh flowers occasionally.
Create a cosy reading corner.
Cook meals you look forward to eating. Spend time with people you love. Take photographs of ordinary moments.
Make room for hobbies that have nothing to do with your career.
Visit places you’ve always wanted to see.
Develop little rituals that make an ordinary Tuesday feel special.
You don’t have to spend a lot of money to make your life beautiful.
Often, it’s the smallest things that make everyday life feel meaningful.
Ambition is wonderful, but so is being able to sit quietly with a cup of tea and feel grateful for the life you’re living.
How to Start Building These Habits
If you’re reading this and feeling inspired to change everything about your life, I want you to take a breath.
You don’t need to start waking up earlier, reading more books, exercising daily, changing your wardrobe, improving your finances, and reorganising your entire home this week.
Trying to change too many things at once can leave you feeling overwhelmed before you’ve even begun.
Instead, choose three habits you’d genuinely like to develop.
For example, you could start by reading for fifteen minutes every morning, tracking your expenses every evening, and going for a short walk each day.
Practise these 3 habits for a few weeks until they begin to feel more natural.
Then, when you’re ready, introduce something new.
You can also create a simple weekly ritual to reflect on your progress.
Ask yourself what went well, what felt difficult, and what you’d like to focus on in the coming week.
Remember that your habits should support your life, not turn it into a never-ending self-improvement project.
You will have unproductive days. You’ll sometimes lose motivation, change your mind, or fall back into old routines. That’s normal.
You can always begin again.
Final Thoughts on becoming the Top 1% Women
Becoming a top 1% woman, at least in the way I think about it, isn’t about being the prettiest, wealthiest, most accomplished, or most disciplined woman in the room.
It’s about becoming a woman who continues to grow without forgetting to enjoy the present.
And perhaps most importantly, it’s about understanding that you don’t have to become someone else to build a beautiful life.
You can start exactly where you are, with the life you have right now.
You don’t have to transform your life overnight. You just have to keep showing up for the woman you’re becoming.
