If you haven’t consciously tried using positive affirmations in your life, it is likely that you are using negative or limiting affirmations that then end up becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy.
Affirmations are what we feed into our mind and that in turn becomes the foundation for the actions we take in our day-to-day lives. Believe it or not, weβre always affirming things and theyβre always coming true.
Our mouths are magical.
What we speak from our mouths always comes true. But by default, if weβre not mindful about our thoughts and speech, for most of us, by default, our affirmations are in the negative.
This is what we have learned from society hearing everybody else talk about limitations, complaints, disease and lack.
But once you become conscious of your talk with yourself and when with others, you will start to notice how much we affirm things.
We say things like, βI canβtβ, βIt’s too hardβ, βI am always brokeβ, and βMy life is such a messβ, and so by saying it, we keep on affirming these things and they keep on being true.
If you want to change your life, you have to learn to notice all these affirmations that are limiting you and change them to positive affirmations.
Affirmations are powerful and you must not take them lightly.
What you say to yourself even lightly or even as a joke matters and has a big impact on what you believe about yourself, how you show up every day and what you end up doing with your life.
So today I want to share with you just 10 positive affirmations that you can easily use and live by daily.
You can write them out somewhere and stick them on your wall so you can see them and repeat them every morning.
10 positive affirmations to live by daily
Table of Contents

1. “I deserve to dream”
Allow yourself to dream because you deserve to dream. You deserve to go out and make them all come true.
We are all here for a limited period of time and in this limited period of time, we are here to live out our best life and do something meaningful whatever that is- but this canβt be possible if you donβt dream.
If you donβt have dreams, how will it come true? If you donβt have goals, how can life be meaningful?
2. “I will have meaningful days and conversations”
Affirm to have meaningful days and wonβt spend time on things that wonβt matter one year from now.
When you are with others, affirm that today you will have meaningful conversations with them and not just bond on gossip, ill-health, lack and drama.
Notice what other people are bringing to the table and if it is not serving love, compassion and kindness, donβt add to the table.
Strive to have meaningful days and conversations.
3. “I will be mindful to respond and not react”
This is something we all need to work on. It requires a lot of mindfulness to respond and not react. And it will take time, so donβt be disheartened.
If you are mindful that you reacted right after you reacted, thatβs progress too.
Your immediate reaction is not you. You are what you realise and intend to be when you are mindful. But that doesnβt mean you should be laid back about it.
By affirming you will be mindful to respond and not react, you will slowly make it your new way to respond to situations.
P.S how to start practicing mindfulness
4. “Because I am alive, everything is possible”
Believe in this truly as you affirm this.
Your future can shine. Your life can turn 360 degrees and become the best. You can achieve anything you want and you can do anything you set your mind to.
If youβre reading this, it means that you still have a chance because you are alive.
Being alive is a gift you got freely. What were the chances of you being born? Science says the probability of you being born is one in 400 trillion. You are a miracle!
But here you are. Believe and say to yourself, βAnything is possible because I am alive.β
5. “I am here for a reason. I am here to do Godβs work and today I will act like it”
How would you act if you knew you were sent by God?
How would you be if you knew God was watching you?
What would you do on Godβs behalf?
You are here for a reason. You are here because God canβt be here.
You are sent by the God, by the Buddhas to do their work on their behalf. Your dreams are planted for a reason. They will bring you closer to the divinity inside you.
So choose to believe you are here for a reason because you are.
You are here to shine.
6. “I choose to focus on what I can control”
Whenever you think youβre stressing about any situation, be aware of what youβre focusing on.
Categorise it into two- Is it within your control? Or is it outside of your control?
We spend so much of our time and energy focusing on what we canβt control and so much time gets wasted.
Choose to focus on what you can control such as your mood, your time, the work you put in, the dedication you show, your thoughts, and your actions.
Let go of anything that is not under your control such as what other people think of you, the results of your action, the past, the future, how others act, etc.
Affirm that you will only focus on what you can control and leave out the rest.
7. “Today I wonβt complain and I will make positive choices for my well-being”
Affirm in the morning that you wonβt complain and will live this day wonderfully.
Complaining drains our energy and sucks out the life force from within us without our knowing.
It has no purpose to serve and only fulfils the egoβs need to find faults in everything.
You are so much more than that. You are your heart that looks for good in everything.
So today, choose to exercise, choose to rest, choose to be disciplined over your actions, choose to read and take positive actions for your well-being.
8. “Today I will be my truest self”
To be our truest self takes courage and discipline.
To be nobody else but just ourselves is our purpose in life.
Just like the rose, cherry, plum and damson have their own unique qualities, you too have your own unique qualities and when you are just you, you allow your own unique flowers to blossom too.
You donβt have to be like anyone else. In being you you are your most profound, strong, thoughtful and wonderful self.
You are already what you desire to be. Just choose to be your truest self every day.
This is my striving and I hope we all strive to be our own truest selves.
9. “I attract good fortune from ten thousand miles away”
Believe that you are attracting all good fortune in your life.
Live in a way that believes this is true from the core of your heart and you will become a powerful manifestor.
Say to yourself that you attract good fortune from ten thousand miles away and that all the right conditions, people and things are falling into place to make your dreams possible.
Believe in this with all your heart and it will be true.
10. “Today I am fortunate to have woken up”
This is from his Holiness Dalai Lama and I love this affirmation. I have this scroll hung in my bedroom and I read it in the morning. It goes like this-
Today I am fortunate to have woken up.
I am alive, I have a precious human life
I am not going to waste it
I am going to use
All of my energies to develop myself,
To expand my heart out to others
To achieve enlightenment for
The benefit of all beings
I am going to have
Kind thoughts towards others.
I am not going to get angry
Or think badly about others
I am going to benefit others as much as I can.
So these were the 10 positive affirmations you can use daily.

I hope you repeat them, believe them with all your heart and see the magic that will happen in your life.
