Blogging in 2022 is different. You cannot blog about each and everything or blog about what ever you feel like.
Of course there is no one stopping you, but that way you won’t be able to reach many people.
Now, we blog mainly to help and inspire people. We blog to answer people’s questions and help them with their problems.
Our main motive as a blogger is to help people in someway or the other with our content.
Anyone who has the heart to truly be of help to their readers and answer their questions (in a particular niche) will be a good blogger.
This way blogging allows you to make a difference.
P.S if you don’t know what you should blog about, here are 4 ideas to help you pick your blog niche.
4. You become an expert in your niche
Blogging helps to be an expert in your niche. You don’t have to be an expert beforehand. Just a little bit of knowledge than the general public will do.
But overtime you will find that people will see you as an expert in the field.
With blogging, you indeed slowly become an expert in your niche and people will come to your site to find answers to questions your niche caters to.
5. You learn to build an audience
Blogging first helps you decide who your target audience will be, that is-
- Who are the people that will benefit through your blog

Once you get clear on who your audience will be and start creating content around it to help them, overtime you will learn to build an audience and they will come to your blog again and again to find their answers.

And here comes the most popular reason to start a blog- to earn money online.
Like you I had no idea how bloggers made money and all of the different ways they monetised their blog.
But after having started blogging, I have come to know so much about passive income and about the many different ways to start making money online.
I would’ve had zero knowledge and missed out on this great way to earn money if I hadn’t started.
Blogging has been a great source of passive income for me. I am now making more than triple from what I earn from my actual job, and I know the numbers will go higher still.
There is just so much potential in blogging!
If you’d like to know more about how bloggers monetise their blog, here are the top 5 ways you can make money blogging.
7. Helps you tremendously in your personal growth
Apart from all these reasons, another great reason to start a blog is how blogging can help you tremendously in your personal growth.
Growing a blog has helped me practice self-discipline, be motivated and push past my self doubt.
It has helped me bring in more confidence and gave me the courage to put my work out there in the world which at first seemed so daunting.
Blogging has truly helped me grow and helped me to practice better all the things that I’d like for my readers also do.
8. Helps you become a better writer
You don’t have to be a good writer to start blogging, but as you keep blogging, you will surely become a better writer.
My dream has always been to write a book one day, and starting this blog has helped me so much with organising my thoughts and has made a better writer.
This has made me feel like it might not be that hard to write a book after all, and that I might be able to do it!
Also I have now come to know that so many writers like James Clear– the author of Atomic Habits, Mark Manson-the author of ‘The subtle art of not giving a fuck’ all started from blogging, and they landed up with a book deal.
So if you have a dream of being a writer one day, start a blog.
9. Allows you to showcase your talent
Starting a blog allows you to showcase your talent and work on things that you are passionate about.
Also, if you want to get a job at digital marketing, then having a blog will be a plus point for you to show that you actually know what you want to get into.
If you want to become a writer, your blog and its engagement will be the first thing that the publishers will see.
Whatever your talents are- whether it is your art, your poetry, your courses or anything, you can showcase them in your blog to your audience and even make money from it if you want to by creating a ‘shop’ page on your blog.
For example, here is my work with me Page (if you want me to coach you on your blogging and Pinterest journey. I get 100k+ sessions with Pinterest in 2022 and can tell you how! )
10. You learn new skills
Blogging helps you improve your skill set and thus helps you improves your earning capacity.
For me, here are the skills I learned which I knew nothing about before I started blogging.
- I learned how to create a website and make it look good
- I learned to use wordpress
- I learned how to start creating content and find new content ideas
- I learned how to grow a blog and gain traffic to it in less than a year
- I learned how to use Pinterest which now helps me gain more than 100k page views every month to my blog
- I learned to become a better writer
- I learned about email marketing
- And so much more
All of these are legit skills.
You can lose your jobs, but you can’t lose your skills and no one can take them away from you.
11. Brings in new opportunities
Blogging brings in new opportunities for you.
You get opportunities to work with other people, meet awesome bloggers, make more money, get your book deal, start your online shop, sell your courses, start a YouTube channel around the content you already have, start a podcast and so much more!
You come to learn that it is a whole new world out there which you can tap into and that which will help you create the life of your dreams.
Blogging can do that for you once you only get started.
12. It’s fun
Lastly, blogging is fun.
If you’re someone who gets bored often, and doesn’t have anything good to do with your time, then starting a blog will help you work on the things you’re passionate about.
And yes, you will make mistakes- here were the 12 big mistakes I made as a beginner blogger, but that’s a part of learning and it is fun.
You get to learn new things and improve your skills.
So my tip for you is that if blogging feels overwhelming, try to see it from the point of view of having fun.
Try seeing Blogging as enjoyable where you get to push past your comfort zone and allow yourself to have fun with it.
