What I didn’t like about the course

Umm.. there is actually nothing I didn’t like about the course.

Let’s talk about my results with Pinteresting strategies.

My experience with Manual Pinning

Pinteresting strategy is mainly about manual Pinning.

If you are unclear about what manual pinning is, then it is when you pin on Pinterest manually by going over to the platform one by one, instead of automatic scheduling using tailwind or even Pinterest scheduling tools.

People mostly refrain from manual pinning because they think it is too time consuming.

They think they have to be in the Pinterest platform all day long. But its so not the case.

I really don’t find manual pinning difficult or time consuming at all. And the main reason is because I keep my pin descriptions ready in a folder to copy paste.

So as I pin, I simply have to paste it. Pinning takes less than 2 minutes, and I actually spend less than 1 hour on Pinterest daily.

I put out pins every 15-20 minutes for 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the evening as I get other things done.

When there was a massive pinterest suspension back in 2021 where so many blogger’s Pinterest account got suspended, my account didn’t, and I think it is because I was pinning manually.

I hear everyone talking about how their Pinterest traffic tanked, and I am guessing its because they are still using Tailwind and scheduling their pins instead of utilising manual pinning.

My results have been great even in 2021 and also in 2022 and I would owe it to manual pinning.

I started applying the strategies of the course from July 2021. Before this I had taken a 2 months break from blogging because it just wasn’t working for me.

So instead of quitting I took a break.

June 2021 I decided to give blogging one last try again and so after taking the course, taking plenty of notes of it, I decided to take over Pinterest again from July 2021.

And here is my brief result after using Pinteresting strategies:

I started manual pinning in exactly the way Carly suggested, and it actually worked.

In just the first month I got 12,000 pageviews.

I was excited!!

In just the second month (August 2021) I went from 12,000 to 30,000 pageviews!

Here is what I’ve written about how to get your first 30k pageviews

In the third month (September 2021) I went again from 30k to more than 60,000 pageviews!

And here is what I’ve written in details about how I gained 60,000 pageviews in 3 months.

In the middle I was bit distracted from blogging and even experimented to see if scheduled pinning from Pinterest works, but I found out that it didn’t.

My traffic declined.

So again starting from December I focused my attention to manual Pinning, and my traffic again bumped up with 89,000 pageviews.

This is when I could even apply for mediavine. And last month (January 2022) , I got more than 100k pageviews and got accepted to mediavine.

The mediavine ads you are seeing right now is all possible because of Pinteresting strategies and I paid myself back the investment I made for it long time back.

None of this would have been possible without Pinterest, which is the number one source of my blog traffic even in 2022.
