1.Organize your blog
A beginner bloggers blog can be pretty messed up. At least mine was when I was first starting out.
I didn’t have a proper navigation menu and I wasn’t clear on what I was going to blog about.
If your blog is unorganized too, then the first blogging task that you need to do if you want to be successful in blogging is to organize your blog.
Decide on your categories. I suggest not creating more than 3 categories when just starting. You can always add categories to blog about later (but that too isn’t much suggested from me).
Then create categories in your blog and organize your blog posts accordingly to which category it belongs.
2. Make a list of Blog Post ideas
The greatest investment on time as a blogger is to have a list of blog post ideas ready in one place.
Keep a notebook or an app to have this list of blog post ideas. I use notion to keep mine for all of my categories like this.

Once you have blog post ideas ready, you don’t have to beat yourself up to come up with new blog post ideas every week.
As a beginner blogger you might find creating new blog content ideas is hard, but its not!! You can definitely come with endless blog post ideas in just one sitting.
Here are places you can find endless blog post ideas (for any niche) to set you up for months ahead.
3. Create a content Calendar
Once you have your blog post ideas ready, the other essential blogging task that all successful bloggers need to follow is to plan your blog content and create a content calendar.
When you have a content calendar you are more likely to stick with it and be consistent with blogging.
Most people say that you need to create content calendar for 6 months or even 1 year, but I would say just create it for the coming one month.
Trust me, if you create more than 1 month, you will be wasting time.
Decide on how many posts you want to publish in a month and create the content calendar.
For me it is around 10 posts a month so I post every 3-4 days.
And since I have three categories in my Blog- Self Improvement, Living and Blogging, I post serially so I always stay on track with all of my categories.
4. Write Blog Post
And here comes the major blogging task- Writing Blog Posts!
No matter how many tasks you need to do as a blogger, writing blog post is the quintessential blogging task. If you can devote at least 1 hour to writing a blog post everyday, it makes all the difference.
Set that 1 hour timer, turn on airplane mode and start writing.
Here is a guide on how to write blog posts faster
5. Write Blog Post outlines
To make your blog writing easy and to save you a ton of time, a monthly blogging task that will help a lot is to write your blog post outlines.
For the blog posts you have decided to write in the coming month, carve out sometime at the starting of the month or the month before that to write your blog post outline.
A blog post outline consists of:
- The main keywords
- First line with keywordsLast line with keywords
- Headings and Subheadings
- If its a listicle, then the list titles which will make the main body
- Related posts
When you have set this out, writing blog post becomes much more easier and faster.
6. Create Pin Templates
This one is the major blogging task you need to do when it comes to Pinterest.
If you don’t want to spend your money buying Pin Templates, you can always create some yourself.
I don’t know how many hours I wasted making individual pins different from one another!
Now I have Pin templates I have made, and even though making it took me sometime, now I just have to change the pictures or make tiny alterations and I can create tons of Pin Images in just minutes.
When creating a Pin template find a style that suits you and stick with the same.
7. Write down Pin descriptions with Keywords
Research Pinterest keywords for every post you are going to write and have pin descriptions ready in one place.
I don’t know if others do this, but I don’t have the time to write Pin descriptions every-time I post a pin to Pinterest.
I follow manual pinning so I don’t schedule my Pins unless I am out travelling for some days.
So I have made Pin descriptions well researched with Keywords ready in my notes which I just copy paste.
Sometimes I change sentences here and there, but that i what I do.
So I would suggest you to add this blogging task too to your list to save you time.
8. Create a library of Stock photos
When I was a beginner blogger, I didn’t know that you couldn’t just take out pics from google and use it on my blog.
Then once when I came to know about it, I used to waste a ton of time just searching for the right pictures from free stock images site every time I was about to publish a blog post or every-time I created a new pin.
All of these unnecessarily cause stress and waste time for bloggers.
To tackle this, an easy blogging task to do is to create a library of stock photos in one go in a folder and then upload it in Canva or any other app which you use.
This way you don’t have to keep searching and you can easily create your Pin images fast.
I have now also become a member of the Styled Stock Society and this too has made my blogging journey so much easy.
It adds new stock images every week and has saved me so much time.
9. Learn about Blogging everyday
Whether you’re a beginner blogger or a new blogger, the only way to succeed in blogging is to learn about blogging.
Investing in your blogging education is a must.
Everyday carve out some time even if just 20 minutes for your blogging knowledge. You can read other blogs related to blogging or go through the course you have bought.
But if you haven’t taken any blogging course yet, I highly suggest that you not hesitate it any further. Investing in a blogging course which you think will up level your blogging game is essential.
You don’t have to take a ton of courses. Just determine what you want to focus on and take the course relevant to it. When you apply all of its tactics and strategies, then you can move on to another course.
I have taken just 2 course till now and it really paid off. In just three months I was able to reach 60k page views and I was able to make my first Blog Income of $464
Those two courses are:
I am now currently focusing on SEO and for this I have bought the two e-books- Easy On page SEO and Easy Backlinks for SEO.
I can’t wait to take the course Stupid Simple SEO for which I am saving money 🙂
